Wednesday's Word - Hitting the Jim
Hello All,
This year I didn't do my usual antagonization (I think that's a word) of the New Year's Resolutionaries. Those who charge into the new year with high hopes of shelving bad habits in exchange for better ones. You know, the average lifespan of a New Year's resolution is somewhere around 15 days. But I aint trying to be mean, I actually encourage positive change at any opportunity which is why I'm offering my own 5 week workout called "Hitting the Jim". - a 5 week study through the book of James. For the next 5 weeks, chapter by chapter, Wednesday's Word will be a reflection of what I'm learning in "the Jim". I encourage you to come along. In the Jim, the reps aren't too strenuous, averaging about 21 verses per chapter, but there aint nothing light about the weightier matters we'll be pressing.
Here's The Word:
1 Timothy 4:8 - For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
...and trust me, there's some good training to be had in the Jim. So dust off that old exercise equipment and get ready for the work out. We're well into the new year, so if you didn't keep up with all those good ideas like most people, what better time than now to start hittin the Jim.
