Wednesday's Word - Keep the Change

Hello All,

Well here we are again, December 31st . The day before the day we start trying to live up to those promises; New Year’s Resolutions. You know, out of the less than half of the people that even bother with resolutions, 75% of those don’t even make it passed the first week. I guess it’s one of those “It sounded like a good idea at the time” sorta things. But how to actually commit to lasting change…ahhh, now that’s the answer we’re looking for eh?

Here’s the Word:

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Proverbs 10:29a The way of the LORD is strength to the upright:

We may have high, “apple pie in the sky hopes” but as the prophet Jeremiah says; O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. (Jer 10:23). And as bad as we may want good for ourselves, for the most part we really don’t have the power to institute it in a lasting meaningful way. We’re confronted with the dilemma when faced with opposition: The spirit IS willing, but the flesh IS weak. So as we are poised and ready to jump into 2009, what are your plans to implement lasting change?

I pray that you not only set the standard high and walk in newness of life, but that you submit daily to the One with the power to bring it to pass, that He will be glorified in your accomplishments. Don’t give up, keep the change.

In Him,
Cros
