Only one adequate plan has ever appeared in the world, and that is the Christian dispensation.

Wednesday's Word

Welcome friends, feel free to look around, make comments and whatnot. I'll try and keep this thing updated with interesting pics, stories and other odds & ends. Feel free to criticize, but please share the 'truth in love'. No reason to be purposefully offensive. Enjoy!

Might Not

This is dedicated to the memory of my Grandmother, "Jose". She was such a 'seasoned' Christian with the sweetest disposition of anyone I knew. I used to ask her questions, and though I've "spruced it up a bit", I can imagine this being the kind of response she would give.

It might be because I choose not to curse
It might be because I memorize chapter and verse
It might be because I try to be nice
It might be because I try to think twice
It might be because I’m considerate and kind
It might be because I’m still looking to find
It might be that I treat the way I want to be treated
It might be realizing that "down" doesn’t mean "defeated"
It might be my positivity and looking up in hope
Even when times are terribly hard and I’m at the end of my rope
It might be my resolve and deciding to stand strong
or maybe because I’m quick to admit the times where I am wrong
Maybe because I pray a lot or my scheduled time for devotions
It might be because I know how to not get caught up in my emotions
It might be because I try to forgive, as I have been forgiven
It might be because when I thought I would die, God's plan was that I keep living
It might be because I’m an encourager
I’ll help you be your best
Or helping you not feel so alone
when life puts you to the test
It might be the time, expecting my blessings
I sat and patiently waited
And each day I grow, a little further I go
I have by no means yet "made it"
What’s really special about who I’ve become?
The list of possibilities is long
Sadly, I doubt that any of these are it,
they’re not lies, yet still, they are wrong

So here I stand with His Word in my hand,
willing to tell all who will hear it,
not by power, nor any of those “mights”,
but only by His Spirit.

Here's The Word;

Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

So as you see people working out their salvation,
don't think that they're something more.
It took God's Spirit to move on them first,
and these things came after, not before.

In Him,
Cros
