Only one adequate plan has ever appeared in the world, and that is the Christian dispensation.

Wednesday's Word

Welcome friends, feel free to look around, make comments and whatnot. I'll try and keep this thing updated with interesting pics, stories and other odds & ends. Feel free to criticize, but please share the 'truth in love'. No reason to be purposefully offensive. Enjoy!

From Emotionold to Emotionew

Emotionold is all too ready to let somebody know when they've crossed the line.
Emotionew reflects on the Grace shown to you and is therefore more ready to reason and forgive.
Emotionold requires others to take note and appreciate the things you do for them.
Emotionew realizes that you'd rather have The Father who sees in secret to keep track of your sacrifices.
Emotionold responds with jealousy when someone else gets that good thing instead of you.
Emotionew rejoices with those who rejoice.
Emotionold reacts from past hurts, lashes out, shuts down, and blames.
Emotionew chooses healing, repentance, and reconciliation to get passed the past.
Emotionold complains about worries and cares.
Emotionew prays for wisdom and contentment in the mean time.
Emotionold is discouraged when it can't see a way.
Emotionew trusts that because He is The Way, there is a way.
Emotionold just wants to be liked.
Emotionew knows there are good reasons to be hated.
Emotionold pushes expectations, and what people ought to do
Emotionew offers praise and encouragement and grace is helpful too.
Emotionold wants what it wants, when it wants
Emotionew is patient and okay with waiting for "His time."
Emotionold gives up when "I can't do it alone."
Emotionew gives praises knowing "I can't do it alone."

Here's the Word:

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Your mind is that place where you process the input of life and react according to your individual personality and moral convictions. Sometimes, due to the chaotic nature of life, there seems to be no processing to it - emotions just grab the wheel of your direction and let the chips fall where they may.
But praise be to God and the power of His Word - It has the power to renew your mind and to coin a phrase from the six-million dollar man - make you; Better, Stronger, Faster!
Go ahead study what God's Word has to say about your mind. Passages not limited to, but including Philippians 3:16, Colossians 3:12, Titus 1:15 And meditate on it.
And ask yourself, am I way too Emotionold? or am I using God's word to affect my mind to remake me: To become Emotionew!

In Him,
Cros
