What Are the Odds?

Hello All,

Quite peculiar how easy it is to “get the wrong idea”. Even when you think there’s enough information to convey a clear consistent message, we are often surprised by the feedback we receive. I admit, I love a play on words, but there’s a difference between a “twist” and getting it twisted. A play on words and confusion is not the same thing. There is a difference.

Here’s The Word;

Leviticus 10:10 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;

Ezekiel 22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

So I’m not talking about the mathematical ratio in a question of odds. I’m talking about how odd it is that we rationalize this question of being different. God expects there to be a difference between His chosen and anyone else. We are supposed to live as peaceably as possible with people, but at there is a point where it should be obvious that we’re at odds with this world. Again, don’t get it twisted, we’re FREE in Christ, but that doesn’t erase the idea of being different from the average unbeliever. So it’s up to you to look into your own life and answer; What are the odds?

In Him,
Cros
