Wednesday’s Word - Mind Readers

Hello All,

Ready for a little experiement? Okay, first, clear your mind. Next, put your right hand on whatever screen you’re reading this on, and put your left hand on your head, I’m going to read your mind; close your eyes and count to 30, when you’re done, you’ll receive an email from me of what you’re thinking. Well I probably don’t have to go that far, I can just say it out loud now “Cros aint got no sense”. That’s what you’re thinking right? But isn’t it interesting how much we’re intrigued by the idea of mind reading? Some of us would be happy to decline volunteering if we thought someone truly had the gift to read our minds. Remember that Mel Gibson movie where he could read women’s minds (or rather audibly hear their thoughts)? It was easy to see that as a Powerful benefit. If you could read my mind, I can’t say that there would be much benefit to it, even if you threatened to say my thoughts out loud, in the end, what would you really gain? But check this out

Here’s The Word:

1 Corinthians 2:12-16 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.* Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.* But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.* But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.* For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

We have a Powerful Benefit when we allow the Holy Spirit to teach us as we read God’s Word. And the most awesome thing about this is when it comes to God, He’s not reserved or apprehensive at the thought of you reading His mind. There’s no way to know ALL of God, but as it pertains to your life and your happiness in Him, His mind holds no secrets.

Psalm 25:14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Proverbs 3:32 For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.

So I can’t imagine a more Powerful Benefit that is available to you. A benefit that has the ability to change you from the inside out. As you read your Bible, don’t ever take for granted that if you allow The Spirit to work, God will reveal Himself to you. And in a real way, you become a Mind reader.

In Him,
Cros
