Seen yourself in the mirror lately? Is it time for a faithlift?

Hello family,
There are more than a 'few' makeover shows on television and I'm not here to weigh in on if getting some work done is right or wrong (another word for another day). What I'd like to draw attention to, however, is the process:
People are viewing themselves in relationship to some sort of (internal or external ;to be 'normal' or to be 'happy') standard and their coming to the conclusion that they're not measuring up to the ideal of that standard. Now the fact that they don't meet this standard is such a pressing issue that they, in turn, conclude that SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!!!........you get me?

Here's the Word - James 1:22 -25
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass (mirror): 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Here we see the Scriptures (' perfect law of liberty') related as mirror. When we look into THAT standard and see that we ALL are lacking in areas. Are we driven to DO SOMETHING? or do we walk away and forget about it 'in pursuit of happier thoughts'?

I know people who would contend that "God's not through with me yet" & "He does it in His own time." Yes, how true. But if you're obviously in need for some internal medicine by a God who specializes in reconstroctive surgery :), how much time are you spending in the Doctor's office?

Closing Word.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Truthfully insightful and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your blog with me, Cros.

Supporting your endeavors as it relates to helping others see more clearly the spiritual teachings of Yashua in this day and time when sensationalism seems to be the more preferrable method, is quite an honor for me. I am book-marking your blog at this very moment.

I look forward to reading more insightful and knowledgeable posts from you in the near future. You are truly tranforming into an Ansaru Al Alyown (Aider of The Most High).
